Big turnout for annual Fall Festival

The city’s annual Fall Festival drew crowds of people on Saturday and Sunday to celebrate the Halloween spirit at Kennedy Plaza.

Residents and visitors alike browsed through craft vendors, went pumpkin picking, joined in carousel rides, hayrides, played with animals at a petting zoo and showed off their costumes in a parade.

“Thank you to everyone who made this past weekend’s Fall Festival a huge success,” City Manager Jack Schnirman said at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

“Thousands of folks came out on Saturday and Sunday for a great event — another wonderful example of what makes Long Beach life so special.”
