The Nassau County Department of Health is advising that residents avoid bathing at the beach in Island Park until 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Nassau County Department of Health is advising that residents avoid bathing at Island Park Beach in Island Park due to increased levels of bacteria from Monday night’s heavy rainfall.

The advisory is set to be lifted at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
