Malverne Little League is ready to play ball

Posted

After what seemed to be long, cold winter season, Malverne Little League kicked off the spring season with its annual Opening Day ceremony on April 14. Little leaguers and members of the community came together at Harris Field to get the season underway. Wearing bright, vibrant colors of their respective teams, little leaguers could not wait to take the field and play ball.
From bats and helmets to cleats and gloves, ballplayers were more than prepared for the new season. County and state officials that include Assemblyman Brian Curran, Town Supervisor Laura Gillen, Town Clerk Slyvia Cabana, and State Sen. Todd Kaminsky, among others, joined in on the festivities.
