How many clams can you eat? Find out at the sixth annual clam eating challenge at Peter’s Clam Bar on Aug. 11. Starting at 1 p.m., firefighters can compete for free. Then, at 2:30 p.m., the public challenge begins for $25 per person. All proceeds benefit the Nassau County Firefighters Pipes and Drums. For more information, visit petersclamhouse.com.
