The all-you-can-eat Fleischfest (fleisch is Yiddish for meat) was held at a home on Oakwood Avenue in Cedarhurst on Aug. 15 to benefit Priority 1, the alternative yeshiva, also in Cedarhurst, that serves at-risk kids.

Founded in 1987, Priority 1’s goal is to develop “improved methods to enhance the effectiveness of Jewish education and to address the needs of students being left behind in the main-stream Yeshiva system,” according to its website.
