New Year’s Eve will also get a makeover this year with a new “First Night” event. Sullivan said that First Night is a family-friendly event that will take place in the West End, but many details are still being worked out. It’s only in the West End this year because the group has such a short time to plan it, but Sullivan said that if it goes well, she thinks it could expand to the include the whole city.
