Hard to resist was the warm Tuscan bread served with herb-infused olive oil. An outstanding starter, Grilled Peaches, offered three white halves filled with goat cheese, dried blueberries and prosciutto, drizzled with fig/balsamic reduction and a hint of honey. Eggplant Meatballs were of melt-in-your mouth caliber, served in hearty tomato sauce. Gnocchi Della Casa paired sweet potato dumplings with balsamic-sage brown butter sauce; it was savory and quite generous. Pan seared salmon was perfection — topped with sautéed onions, capers and lemon sauce, served on a bed of fresh spinach.

Huge cups of coffee came with crisp biscotti. We shared the Brownie Gelato dessert. Whipped cream and vanilla gelato dotted with pistachio nuts was surrounded by crumbled warm brownie and fudge sauce…just decadent enough. Tiramisu and Nutella Crepes were the other options.
