A woman was injured after she became pinned between a Long Island Rail Road train and the platform on Sunday in Long Beach.

Long Beach firefighters rushed to the scene just after midnight when the woman fell in the gap between the train, which was not moving at the time, and the platform. The train was bound for Jamaica Station and was delayed for about 15 minutes as emergency crews worked to free the woman, according to ABC Eyewitness News.

It was not clear how the woman became trapped. The Long Beach Fire Department said that the woman was treated for minor injuries and taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital for evaluation.

“The patient was successfully removed and is stable,” the Fire Department said on Facebook. “No need for an extrication. Train was not moving at the time.”
