Keeping cool making ice cream at the Franklin Square Public Library

Posted

The Franklin Square Public Library was the cool place to be on July 20.

About 40 children in grades kindergarten through 7th chose to make vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream in a plastic bag. The children practiced their literacy skills in conjunction with math and science skills to create their personal bags of ice cream.

The library hosts literacy programs for people of all ages and interests to include everyone. For more information about the library and what programs are offered each week, and to register for them, call (516) 488-3444.
