Man arrested for weapon possession in West Hempstead

Nassau County police arrested Raymond Ingram, of Roosevelt, for criminal possession of a weapon on July 10 in West Hempstead.

According to police, officers responded to a disturbance at the Roslyn Savings Bank, located at 50 Hempstead Turnpike. The officers located Ingram when they arrived and began an investigation. During the investigation it was determined that Ingram, 52, had made multiple threats to the bank employees. As police searched Ingram, he was found to be in possession of an ammunition magazine containing 12 rounds of .40 caliber bullets. Ingram also provided false information to officers during the investigation.

Ingram was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, menacing in the second degree and false personation. He was arraigned on July 11 at First District Court in Hempstead.
