— AOH Irish Day Parade & Festival

The AOH Irish Day Parade & Festival will begin at Washington Boulevard and West Beech Street at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. There will be vendors, rides, music, food and raffles along West Beech Street until 5 p.m. Join the fun!

— In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month

Journey through the richly diverse world of Hispanic music at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 W. Park Ave., on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. Take this toe-tapping lively tour with acclaimed international concert violinist Dr. David Podles presenting salsa, tango, samba, cha cha, merengue, paso doble, mambo and bolero to Spanish classical composers.

— The Joy of Collage

Collage is a fun activity and does not require a background in art. Create your own original artwork using images, textures and paint with Naomi Diracles at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 W. Park Ave., on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.

A supply list will be available in the library office.

— An afternoon of ‘Broadway’s Beloved Duos’

Join vocalist Marcie Passley for a revue of Broadway’s best, when she visits the Landmark on Main Street stage, Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. Take a trip down memory lane with some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage. — In tune with the San Francisco Symphony

Hear the stirring sounds of the San Francisco Symphony when the acclaimed orchestra visits Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, on Friday, Oct. 5, at 8 p.m. Violinist Leonidas Kavakos joins Conductor Michael Tilson Thomas the orchestra for a dynamic all-Stravinsky program that includes Petrushka (1947 revision), Violin Concerto and Le Sacre du printemps (The Rite of Spring).
