Crime Watch: East Rockaway, Lynbrook

People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

 At 8:52 p.m. on Dec. 29, a 23-year-old man, of Massapequa, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt and Aggravated Harassment at Lynbrook Police Department located at 1 Columbus Drive in Lynbrook.


A 21-year-old man, of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance on Broadway at 7 p.m. on Jan. 1.

At 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 1, an 18-year-old man, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and No Seat Belt on Langdon Pl.

A 34-year-old man, of Inwood, was arrested and charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance at the Capri Motor Inn located at 5 Freer Street in Lynbrook at 7:08 p.m. on Jan. 1.

At 7:34 p.m. on Jan. 4, a 36-year-old man, of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with thee counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and a Lynbrook Village Code Violation on Newton Ave. The defendant was also charged with two open Nassau County First District Court warrants for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.


Petit larceny

A complainant reported that someone took an envelope containing $265 after the envelope was left as for a delivery at their residence at 9:07 p.m. on Dec. 29.

Three illuminated Christmas decorations were reported stolen from a front lawn on Denton Avenue at 8:15 p.m on Dec. 31. The value of the property was $200.

Burglary
Two jewelry boxes and assorted jewelry was reported stolen from 145 Canterbury Gate after an unknown amount of suspects entered the residence between 12:30 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. on Dec. 29..The total value of the stolen items was $23,300.


Burglary/criminal mischief/petit larceny

The owner of Lynbrook Nails located at 683 Sunrise Hwy, reported that three person(s) pried open the rear door and removed a laptop computer valued at $800 at 5:44 a.m. on Dec. 31.

At 6:20 a.m. on 12/31/14 the complainant, The owner of Verizon Wireless located at 677 Sunrise Highway reported that three unknown person(s) did pried open the rear door and remove 18 cellphones and five computer tablets at 5:55 a.m. on Dec. 31. The total value of the loss was $5,399.03.


Criminal mischief

Three illuminated Christmas decorations were reported damaged on the front lawn of a residence on Wyoming Avenue at 8:56 p.m. on Jan. 1. The value of the property was $180.
An employee at All Metro Healthcare, located at 50 Broadway in Lynbrook, reported two tires on their 2014 Mercedes Benz damaged at 11:39 a.m. on Jan. 2. The total amount of the damage was $428.
