Crime Watch: East Rockaway, Lynbrook

Arrests
A 46-year-old  of Inwood, was arrested and charged with four counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and one count each of Circumvention of Interlock Device, No Front Registration Plates and Unlicensed Operation on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook at 9:50 p.m. on Feb. 2.

At 2:20 p.m. on Feb. 3, a 24-year-old of Baldwin, was arrested and charged with two counts ofCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count each of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, Failure to Signal and Unlicensed Operation on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

At 8 p.m. on Feb. 3, a 33-year old  man of Massapequa, was arrested and charged with 11 counts of Criminal Contempt for incidents that occurred between January 26, 2015 and February 1, 2015 at a residence on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook.

A 49-year-old of Freeport, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook at 11:44 a.m. on Feb. 7. The defendant was also charged with an open Nassau County Arrest Warrant for Scheme to Defraud and Grand Larceny and an open Nassau County Bench Warrant for No Home Improvement Business License.

A 46-year-old man of Elmont, was arrested and charged with three counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and one count each of Circumvention of Interlock Device, Operate in Violation of Restricted Use License, Unlicensed Operation, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Improper Left Turn on Merrick Road in Lynbrook at 7:20 p.m. on Feb. 7.

At 3:25 p.m. on Feb. 9, A 50-year-old man of North Babylon, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Criminal Possession of Marihuana and Equipment Violation on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
At 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 4, the Corporate Security Manager of Hertz Rent a Car, located at 56 Horton Avenue in Lynbrook, reported that a 2014 Nissan Versa which was rented on August 12, 2014 has not been returned. The value of the auto was $11,878.

Identity theft
A Lynbrook resident reported that unknown person(s) made two unauthorized charges totaling $1,000 on their Chase Debit card at 10:25 a.m. on Feb. 5.

Grand larceny
 A Samsung cell phone and a wallet, which contained three credit card and person property, were reported stoled from a 2011 Ford F-250 pickup truck parked in the private parking area of Sportime, located at 175 Merrick Road in Lynbrook, at 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 6. The value of the property was $716.

Petit larceny
At 5:48 p.m. on Feb. 8, the recreation supervisor of Greis Park, at 55 Wilbur Street in Lynbrook, reported that a Dell Venue Pro tablet computer was stolen from their desk. The value of the computer was $300.
