Crime Watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests
On March 18 at 12:15 p.m., a 35-year-old of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation, aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered motor vehicle, improper registration plate and uninsured motor vehicle on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

At 7:40 a.m. on March 20, a 22-year-old of Hempstead, was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment at Lynbrook Police Department Headquarters located at 1 Columbus Drive.

A 38-year-old of Howard Beach, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, uninsured motor vehicle and two equipment violations on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook on March 20 at 9:50 p.m.

On March 21 at 9:50 a.m., a 40-year-old of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with an open warrant for violation of Lynbrook Village Code for property maintenance at Lynbrook Police Department Headquarters located at 1 Columbus Drive.

A 19-year-old of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, driving too slow (impede traffic) and equipment violation on Scranton Avenue in Lynbrook on March 22 at 1:07 a.m.

Lost property

At 2:56 p.m. on March 18, a complainant, an employee of Lynbrook Audi, reported the loss of a set of New York State registration plates from the vicinity of the dealership, located at 843 Sunrise Hwy., Lynbrook.

On March 20 at 1:56 p.m., a complainant reported that while in the vicinity of 14 Atlantic Ave., Lynbrook, they lost their wallet, which contained their New York State driver’s license. The value of the wallet is $25.

Burglary
At 9:36 p.m. on March 20, a complainant reported that they were unable to gain access to their apartment, located at 2 Fowler Ave., Lynbrook, due to their key not working properly. The complainant left the property they were carrying in front of their door while they responded downstairs to retrieve another key. Upon the complainant’s return their property was no longer in front of their door. The value of the property is $795.

Aggravated harassment
On March 21 at 12:26 p.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) sent them threatening text messages to their cell phone.

Grand larceny
At 12:15 p.m. on March 23, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed their Samsung cell phone, Chase debit card and $140 in cash from their car, which was parked at Sportime, located at 175 Merrick Road, Lynbrook. The total amount of the loss is $540.
