Gift boutique and book signing at Old Westbury Gardens

Enjoy some holiday cheer with acclaimed designer Mario Buatta

Posted

Orchard Hill, the 19th century farmhouse, located on the historic grounds of Old Westbury Gardens, opens its doors for a special shopping boutique and book signing, Monday, Nov. 4.
Enjoy a glass of bubbly and light hors d’oeuvres, while shopping for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah gifts from over 20 local designers who have come together to showcase unique and luxurious gift items. Choose from an extensive array of great gift ideas, including home decor, fashion, jewelry, and men’s accessories.
Also that day, renowned designer Mario Buatta will host a lecture and sign copies of his new book, “50 Years of Interior Decoration.” Acclaimed for his sumptuous rooms that layer fine antiques, confectionary curtains, and sublime colorations, Buatta creates an atmosphere of lived-in opulence. This lavishly illustrated survey, filled with beautiful images as well as many unpublished photographs from the designer’s own archive, closely follows Buatta’s highly documented career.
Twenty percent of the day’s sales from the event, presented by The Friends of Old Westbury Gardens, will benefit Old Westbury Gardens.
