IP Chamber host ghosts and goblins

Posted

In spite of the clouds, wind and rain 50 brave and determined trick or treaters took advantage of the free goodies offered by Island Park businesses as part of the Chamber of Commerce’s fourth annual Trick or Treat celebration.

Chamber President Glenn Ingoglia said the first ‘trick or treat’ for business started in 2013 the year after Storm Sandy. Because the storm robbed the children of their Halloween and ‘trick or treating’ the year before we at the IPCC organized this event in order to give our kids two days every year to ‘trick or treat.’ Since then, it has become a very successful and well-attended event. The Trick or Treat for Business’ always coincides with Lincoln Orens’ School Fall Festival. The Trick or Treat for Business runs beyond the time allotted for the Fall Festival in order to make it a very full day of celebration for our children. Special thanks goes to the Island Park PTA, Faculty and School Board for organizing the Fall Festival.

Participating businesses included Century 21 Scully Realty, The Law Office of Glenn Ingoglia, Island Park Diner, Island Park Library, Jack’s Pizzeria, Conrad’s Pharmacy, Bliss Beauty Bar, Classic Grocery, Hope’s Land of Candy, Empower Solar, Island Park Deli, Starbucks, Carpet Craft, Safe Haven Music, Pop’s Liquor, E-Sports Fundraising, Davinci’s Restaurant, A.N.D.
