Residents enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend in Lynbrook at the village’s annual Mayor’s Picnic and salute to Patriots held last Sunday, May 24.
After the opening ceremony, where the mayor welcomed its special guests — the veterans — a special VIP tent was set up for all attending vets and their families. Their dinner was sponsored by Atria Tangelwood.
The USO girls performed an array of patriotic and new pop tunes, and a magic show was held for the children in the gazebo.
Face painting and inflatable fun was available for the children.
