Lynbrook Junior Fire Department member awarded

Kathy Festa, center, presented a scholarship check to Brian Donald, a senior graduating from Malverne High School. For the past seven years, Kathy Festa of Lynbrook has awarded a $500 college scholarship to a deserving member of the Lynbrook Junior Fire Department in memory of her late husband, Ex-Chief Ron Festa, who was an assistant chief when the junior program was begin in 1979. Joining in the presentation with his mother is Ex-chief Keith Festa, right, and his boys, from left, Luke, Carter, and Dylan. Lynbrook Chief Ed Hynes is on the left.
