The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce recently held a contest inviting graphic artists of all ages and skill levels, who reside within the village to design a new logo for the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce.

The winner of the contest was Nicolai Tyco, a 2013 graduate of Lynbrook High School. and a co-president of the National Art Honor Society.

The Chamber wanted the logo design to reflect a vibrant hometown feel, a welcoming business community and a Long Island lifestyle.

“Nicolai’s creation encompassed all of those elements,” said Chamber President Denise Rogers. “He was able to tie in our community with the business district.” Rogers said that the contest was a way to include the public in the revitalization of the business district. “People will soon see the new logo everywhere,” she said. “It will be on our website, on our merchandise . . . everywhere!”

The Chamber also presented Nicolai with a check for $250.
