A 19-year-old man who allegedly struck a younger teenager on the head with a bicycle chain was arrested after returning to the scene of the alleged crime, police said.

On Nov. 20 at 6:40 p.m., a girl, 13, was walking with a group of friends in front of 88 Doughty Blvd., in Inwood, when Allan Lopez Villeta, of Mott Avenue, in Far Rockaway, pushed one of the boys, 15, according to police.

The 13-year-old attempted to intervene and stop her friend from fighting with Villeta, when he allegedly picked up his bike chain and hit her. Villeta left the scene on his bicycle, but inexplicably came back later, police said and was arrested.

Nassau County police ambulance took the girl, who sustained a large cut, to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

Villeta is being charged with assault second-degree, possession of a dangerous weapon fourth-degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
