While protesting the depiction of President Trump as Julius Caesar in a Central Park rendition of the Shakespeare play, 28-year-old Oceanside resident Salvatore Cipolla was arrested on Sunday and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct, according to New York City police.

The incident occurred as Cipolla reportedly rushed the stage shouting “Goebbels would be proud,” referring to the German Nazi party’s propaganda minister, before being escorted away by security and staff. Video footage taken by a bystander appears to confirm the series of events.

Cipolla was later released and given a desk-appearance ticket. He was one of two protesters arrested that night. The other was Jovanni Valle, a 26-year-old from Brooklyn. The two are due to appear in court at a later date.
