The Howard T. Herber Middle School PTA held a bowling fundraiser at San-Dee Lanes on Feb. 28 to support the family of Liz Garcia, a Malverne student who was in stable but critical condition after a car crash earlier this year that killed her sister Cindy.
More than 125 guests attended the event to bowl, enjoy pizza and buy t-shirts, pins and bracelets. PTA president Joyce Berry said all proceeds from the event will benefit the Garcia family.
