Mostly Cloudy Locals excel in New Year’s dash

Several runners from both Malverne and West Hempstead took part in the annual Nassau County New Year’s Eve Dash in Eisenhower Park,
Leading the locals over the finish line of the 5K race was Edward Frederick of Malverne, with a time of 22 minutes and four seconds. That time gave him a sixth place finish overall.
John Koehler of West Hempstead took 27th place overall with a time of 25 minutes and nine seconds, while Dave Terrizzi of Malverne came in 32nd with a time of 25 minutes and 49 seconds.
