MHS girls’ tennis team wins championship

The Malverne High School girls

For the first time in the history of the Malverne School District, the Malverne High School girls’ varsity tennis team has been crowned conference champions. Under the direction of coach Patrice Ward, the Malverne-East Rockaway team placed first in Conference IV for the 2013-14 school year.

The district congratulates team co-captains Sigourney Hessic and Chenell McBean and members Faith Adeyeye, Sara Afzali, Amelia Bennett, Melanie Beurnier, Adwoa Boakye-Yiadom, Valencia Covington, Garrine Fenelon, Courtney Jackson, Sidra Khan, Aiza Mahmood, Briana McGovern, Tiffany Nagasawa, Ashley Pierre, Nia Pollard, Maia Robinson, Diana Sharkey, India Tutt and Roberta Williams.
