Malverne Girl Scouts receive highest honor

Councilman Santino congratulated Elizabeth Stackowitz, left, and Sarah Gebbia for their tireless service as Girl Scouts and presented them with the Gold Award.

Councilman Anthony Santino presented official Town of Hempstead Certificates of Recognition to Gold Award recipients Elizabeth Stackowitz and Sarah Gebbia, both of Malverne, at the ELLM Association of Girl Scouts Gold Award Ceremony at Lynbrook High School.

These young women received the Gold Award, which is the highest award in Girl Scouting that is earned over a three-year period and requires over 100 hours of community service.
