The Malverne High School library was the recent recipient of a handcrafted work of stained glass. The piece, designed and created by Michael Ziegler, depicts the “kicking mule” from the Malverne High School Class of 1962. Ziegler graduated from MHS in 1962 and now resides in Statesville, North Carolina, where he creates art for Art Glass Designs and Antiques. The Malverne alum said he has fond memories of MHS and created this piece as a tribute to his graduating class.
