America was watching the season finale of the NBC hit show, "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" when three girls, supposedly from Malverne, appeared on the screen. It was a surprise moment for Long Islanders, particularly Malvernites, who were wondering which residents were now receiving their minute of national fame.

Turns out it was actually Michelle Duperval of Baldwin, spending the evening with her besties Kathryn Mastro of Malverne and Claire Silghigian of Garden City South. The girls, friends since their days at Sacred Heart High School, were planted in front of the TV at at Mastro's house, getting ready to participate in the show's Singalong contest during its season finale, Nov. 3.

Duperval was the chosen singer, and successfully completed the words to a verse from the Backstreet Boys' hit, "I Want It That Way." Even better, she got to sing along with the band, virutally, from Mastro's home on national TV.

Duperval won $1,000 and a memory that will last lifetime with her friends. Congratulations Michelle!
