Alexis Fritz is a mom who has succeeded in the world of business competition and stress, who is now looks forward to experiencing the world of childhood joy and innocence. With her husband, Tom, she is following her entrepreneurial dream. They are opening a Kidville child enrichment center in Wantagh, and in about two years, another in Syosset.

“I want to see children thrive, so I’ll tap my enthusiasm and talents, education in music and fine arts, and my business acumen to focus on enriching kids’ lives,” she said. The Fritz’s are young parents with diverse musical and business backgrounds. Armed with creative ideas and energy, they are opening Kidville Wantagh with a plan to make every child’s experience unique, memorable, and most importantly, enriching.

Kidville is for babies and young children up to age six. Every program and service — art, music, gym, dance, sports, camp, pre-school alternative, and birthday parties — is age appropriate. Many are interactive with families. The general rule is, classes for newborns to age two are with a parent or caregiver; classes for three-year-olds are separation optional; and ages four to six are usually dropped off. Programs at Kidville were each designed by early childhood education specialists.

Fritz spent a considerable amount of time interviewing and hiring, searching for the ideal team member for each position. Her staff members are personable, energetic and well-trained to run the enrichment programs. Clients will receive the same level of personal service that she would want as a parent.

Kidville is known for their legendary music program — Rockin’ Railroad — and every one of their locations offers a four-piece live band. Each band has a pianist, drummer, guitarist and vocalist. Classes include puppets, a ride on the “railroad,” and stops to explore various facets of music.

Classes and activities are numerous, including water and sand tables for indoor beach play, 3-D art projects, indoor gym equipment, giant blocks, Tumbl Trak games, indoor swings, paint, clay, soccer, basketball, dancing, and anything fun and colorful that you can imagine. Birthday parties can include an exciting journey with the Rockin’ Railroad band.

The Fritz family plans to be totally hands-on with every aspect of Kidville, with a focus on child enrichment and family involvement. Their vision is to see “lots of happy kids and happy families.” For complete schedules, as well as descriptions of the classes and programs, check their website, www.kidville.com/wantagh.
