A 23-year-old Bellmore man was arrested and charged with drug dealing on May 17, according to Nassau County police.

Detectives said that Anthony Trentacosta, of Boundary Avenue, was taken into custody on Pettit Avenue, near the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road station, at 4:10 p.m. According to police, he had 400 glassine packets of heroin on him.

Authorities received numerous complaints about drug sales in Bellmore. An investigation led them to Trentacosta, they said.

Trentacosta was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on May 18.

Trentacosta is represented by the Nassau County Legal Aid Society, which does not comment on cases.
