Calhoun researcher to be published

Posted

Calhoun High School senior Nicholas Moehringer of Merrick, 17, has been selected to have his research into sideline concussion tests for athletes published in an upcoming edition of the Journal of Euro-Ophthalmology. Moehringer conducted his research at New York University’s Langone Ambulatory Center.

Moehringer plays three sports — soccer, tennis and basketball — and four instruments – tuba, alto and tenor saxophone, and the piano. He is also a member of five honor societies and has been accepted to Northeastern and Stony Brook universities, but is still deciding which college he will attend in the fall.
