Civic association to lead Camman’s Pond cleanup on Saturday

Volunteers welcome, group says

The South Merrick Community Civic Association will begin its annual “Spring Clean Sweep” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, at Camman's Pond Park, next to Levy Lakeside School. Volunteers will help clean the park of litter and debris. Participants should bring gloves and a rake. SMCCA will provide water, coffee and doughnuts. There will be additional “Clean Sweep” events at other Merrick parks and locales throughout May. More information is available by calling SMCCA President Joe Baker at (516) 978-8310.
