Kickin’ Country’ Festival
The lively sounds of country tunes can be heard at the Long Beach Public Library this weekend, the venue for the Kickin’ Country Music Festival in the City by the Sea. An evening of line dancing kicks off the event at the Hub Billiard Club Concert Hall in Island Park, on Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. The festival opens on Friday with some Americana and bluegrass from the Wes Houston Trio and Small Town Sheiks. The weekend also includes country blues with Piedmont Bluz and The Last Hombres, along with the Dubl Handi Trio, Alex Battles and Whisky Rebellion, and children’s activities on Sunday.
