The award-winning singer-songwriter graces the Adelphi University stage in her first Long Island performance since the release of her new album “You Gotta Love the Life.” Manchester certainly loves her life and has plenty of songs to share from her accomplished career. She takes her audience on a musical journey celebrating 40 years of making music, in this dynamic look at her life in music, which began as a founding member of Bette Midler’s Harlettes.

Exploring Nature

Feather Fest
Get up close and personal with our feathered friends at Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center’s celebration of International Migratory Bird Day. Activities for all ages include nformative and entertaining animal presentations that focus on reptiles and birds of prey that can found throughout Long Island. Age-appropriate games and crafts will keep kids entertained, along with a guided plant identification walk and guided bird walks.

Nature Walk
Spring’s landscape is abloom at Muttontown Preserve, which welcomes visitors to explore some of its 550 acres during a Woodland Wildflowers Walk. See displays of glorious spring color throughout the fields and trails on the three-mile guided hike. Glimpse early spring flowers such as Snowdrops and Lesser Celandine and aromatic plants like Garlic Mustard and Spice Bush. The hike stops at the Kettle Pond, where you might be able to glimpse frogs and painted turtles, among other inhabitants.
