Organizers are beginning to set up the room for the center now, Knoll said. Kramer expects to have Circle of Hope up and running in the next few months.

Patients interested in receiving assistance from the organization do not have to be Jewish, Kramer explained. She said the disease affects women of all faiths and places, and Chabad and Circle of Hope organizers want to assist whoever they can.

“We want to save lives,” she said. “We’re not a medical research company. We’re raising money to be able to help people going through it, physically and emotionally.”

Kramer said anyone interested in Circle of Hope should call (516) 833-3057.
