The Chamber of Commerce’s annual Kids Fest drew thousands of people from across Long Island to its grounds near the Merrick Long Island Rail Road station from April 29 to May 1.

Fair-goers enjoyed crafts, food, rides, entertainment and even met several local business owners at its popular local business expo. Erin Donohue, the chamber’s vice president and the festival co-chairwoman, estimated around 20,000 to 30,000 people took part in this year’s festival.

“Many of the Merrick Chamber of Commerce members put up booths and met with the attendees,” Donohue said. “Overall, the event was very successful, with over 125 vendors.”
