Merrick Five Guys robbed at gunpoint

Two men robbed the Five Guys at 2099 Merrick Road on Friday the 13th around 11:15 p.m., Nassau County police said.

According to detectives, two male suspects entered the Five Guys armed with handguns. A 25-year-old man was at work at the eatery at the time. The suspects struck the victim on the head and demanded money before running off in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment for minor injuries. No customers were present at the time.

The suspects wore ski masks and were dressed in all black, police said. They displayed black revolvers. One suspect was described as 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, and the other, 5-foot-7, 130 pounds.
