State police troopers arrested Tracy McCulloch, 38, of Merrick, on April 27 and charged her with driving while intoxicated on the Meadowbrook State Parkway. McCulloch’s two children were inside the vehicle that she was driving.

McCulloch was driving a gray Honda at 10:50 p.m. on the Meadowbrook Parkway, south of the Southern State Parkway, when troopers stopped her vehicle for traffic violations, according to a state police press release. McCulloch then allegedly failed sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.

She was charged with aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law, a New York law making it a Class E felony to drive with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 and a person 15 years old or younger in the car. She was also charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor, and multiple traffic violations, including operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and operating an unregistered vehicle. She was issued an appearance ticket for Nassau County’s First District Court.
