Nine Calhoun athletes recuited by colleges

Nine Calhoun High School senior athletes have been recruited to play sports in college.

Nine –– count ‘em –– nine Calhoun High School senior athletes have been recruited to play sports in college. They are, from left, Haylee Solomon, Washington College, lacrosse; Jake Nestola, SUNY Plattsburgh, lacrosse; Tom Joannou, New York Institute of Technology, baseball; Kevin Hiss, Hofstra University, baseball; Michelle Iacono, Rider University, soccer; Gabrielle Toback, Columbia University, swimming; Jack Curran, Lehigh University, cross-country and track; Sara Bey, SUNY Old Westbury, soccer; and Lea Sanders, Chestnut Hill College, lacrosse. “These Calhoun athletes have truly distinguished themselves for their commitment to playing a sport and now have the opportunity to continue to play on the college level,” said Calhoun Assistant Principal Nicole Hollings.
