Our future disaster preparation

I find that your last line of defense is the installer, and many installers are clueless about their role in preventing your loss. I’ve been to one project over 20 times instead of the average three or four because the workers keep installing connections and reinforcement steel in the wrong configurations and the wrong places. I hope to show the public how to build, how to survive, and how to cope with getting back to some form of normal after disaster.

The film company, andSara Productions, has a crew of eight that are moving around the country. People in Montana or Nebraska don’t remember why their tax dollars also support storm recovery. I spoke with the head of the largest bank in Oklahoma. She told about the 1,800 homes. I asked her to guess how many homes were damaged or destroyed during Sandy. She guessed a few thousand, and was shocked to learn that it was 200,000. People forget. We need to tell this story. Please go to gogetfunding.com/project/hell-or-high-water and help prevent future loss. It’s better than curling up in a ball. Thank you!
