The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce and East Meadow Kiwanis Club celebrated a successful year of business, charity and prosperous relationships at their annual holiday party, at which The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce presented the donations to the four beneficiaries of their Culinary Delights fundraiser.

Rosemary Basmajian and Lyndsey Gallagher co-chaired the foodie fundraiser this September at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park. Guests tasted food from a variety of local restaurants and businesses while raising $2,310 for America’s VetDogs, $1,830 for the Nassau/Suffolk Autism Society, $3,360 for the East Meadow Kiwanis Club’s Kamp Kiwanis and $4,110 for Nassau University Medical Center’s Pediatric Department.

On Dec. 9 at Aura Light and Sound Suite in East Meadow, representatives from the charities accepted the donations, including Jamie DeGrade, the philanthropy officer of America’s VetDogs; Michele Ialtonardi, the assistant director of the Nassau/Suffolk Autism Society; Gary Fromowitz, Alan Beinhacker and Debbie Kirsh, of East Meadow Kiwanis, and Linda Walsh, of Nassau University Medical Center.
