Queens Village man killed in one-vehicle accident in Woodmere

Keith Bailey, the passenger in a small truck, was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Peninsula Boulevard in Woodmere on Nov. 19.

According to detectives, a man, 47, was driving his 1995 Mitsubishi utility vehicle southwest near 1044 Peninsula Blvd. in Woodmere when he lost control and struck a tree.  

Police officials said that officers responded to the scene at 12:49 p.m. and medics pronounced Bailey, 47, of Quuens Village, dead at 12:53 p.m.

The driver, also 47,  was airlifted to a local hospital by a police helicopter for evaluation and treatment for upper body trauma. He was reported to be in serious condition. 

Peninsula Boulevard was reopened to traffic after being closed to Woodmere Boulevard because of the accident.

NCPD said the investigation is continuing.
