Assessing the damage in Island Park and Oceanside
Most of the flood waters have receded, the damage on the South Shore was still visible, especially in Island Park. Electricity is intermittent in Oceanside and completely absent in Island Park. The further south one goes, the stronger the scent of moisture and wet wood becomes. People have already begun the cleanup, piling up curbs next to their house with bags full of the sogging and warped remains of their furniture and belongings. But the cleanup is happening. There's no word yet on how long cleanup will take, or how much damage has been done.

I am from Oceanside Cove. It is ok. Most people had some sort of water damage on cars and some of the lower lying areas of the complex got water in the front door if they were on the bottom. There are tons of huge dead fish lying all over the ground and there is no power.
