BREAKING NEWS: OHS Principal Mark Secaur to resign

New superintendent recommends DeCarlo as replacement

Two days after the official retirement of former Oceanside superintendent Dr. Herb Brown, Oceanside High School Principal Mark Secaur tendered his resignation to the district. Secaur, 44, will leave Oceanside on August 1 for the Hewlett-Woodmere district, where he will serve as deputy superintendent for curriculum and instricution. Secaur succeeds Dr. Laura Seinfeld, who in turne replaces Dr. Phyllis Harrington, Oceanside's new superintendent, as superintendent of Oyster Bay-East Norwich.
