Club fair showcases extracurriculars

Posted

The buzz of conversation rose to a dull roar as hundreds of students gathered in the OHS cafeteria last week for the annual Club Fair. Students with leadership roles in their clubs recruited for new members while the potential joiners checked out the variety of offerings. Clubs provide opportunities for service, debate, creativity, leadership, friendship and fun. Studies show that students who are involved in activities tend to do better in school.

Oceanside High School offers dozens of extracurricular opportunities, in addition to athletics, for students who want to be involved. A comprehensive list can be found on the high school’s website (go to the district website at http://oceansideschools.org and navigate to the OHS page).
