Mike Farina, Town of Hempstead Conservation Biologist at the Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area, received the third annual Elliott Kutner Conservation Award from the South Shore Audubon Society at the organization’s annual dinner.
The evening included a presentation by Hunter Gross and Danny Strianese, two of Oceanside School’s “Sea Janitors,” a group of sixth grade students from Oceanside’s PROJECT EXTRA program, who were accompanied by their teachers, Angela Abend and Ned Black.
