Movie night at Saint Anthony’s

Over 100 parishioners of St. Anthony’s Church came out for third annual Outdoor Movie Night sponsored by the St. Anthony’s Fathers Club.

The movie featured on July 22 was Zootopia. The Fathers Club raffled off a 55” flat screen TV donated by Home Appliance, which was won by the Pierce family. This is the second fundraiser of the year for the Fathers Club (after their Comedy Night outing last March), and the proceeds all go to help fund the service projects conducted by the Fathers Club for St. Anthony’s Parish. The St. Anthony’s Fathers Club is a group of dads and granddads at the parish provides both community service and a way for fathers in the community to meet and get to know each other. The club purchased and planted the flowers you see around the Church grounds. Other projects and events have included repairing the gym window cages (which previously prevented the windows from opening and closing easily), organizing the parish Christmas tree lighting, providing security at the Feast, cooking food at the parish outdoor mass and serving up the beer and wine at the parish’s Taste of the Town events.
