The Fr. Joseph O’Connell Council No. 3481 Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary teamed up with Kohl’s department store to bring its annual Spring Fashion Show to Oceanside.

Entitled “Alice in Wonderland,” the show was put together by the hard work of auxiliary Vice President Amy Bermudez, her board of directors and auxiliary members. Bermudez said over 200 people attended the show, which raised over $5,000.

“Kohl’s donates to The Long Island Crisis Hot Line on our behalf,” Bermudez said, “In addition we give to a variety of charities.”

The other charities include Birth Right, Camp Anchor, Guide Dog Foundation, Little Sisters of the Poor, Shamus Ward Foundation and Nassau Veterans. Bermudez proudly explained that all of the models are either members of the Knights, the Ladies Auxiliary or member’s families.

The not for profit Ladies Auxiliary has been serving the community for over 60 years, providing support and monetary assistance to charities.
