The 10K, 5K and fun run will wind through the streets of Rockville Centre on Nov. 8.

The village is preparing for the 37th annual 5K/10K and Family Fun Run on Nov. 8.

The day includes three different races: a 10K, a 5K and a 1-mile Family Fun Run. Both the 10K and 5K make loops through several village streets. Like last year, the route will be slightly different than in previous years due to construction on Maple Avenue.

The entry fee for the Fun Run is $10; for the 5K, $20; and for the 10K, $25. The fees increase by $5 after Oct. 30. The Fun Run starting line will be on Front Street, near the railroad station, and the 5K and 10K will start on North Park Avenue.

There will be free T-shirts for the first 100 children who register for the Fun Run, and for the first 800 runners who register for the longer races.

In addition to prizes for the top overall finisher, the first Rockville Centre finisher and the fastest wheelchair competitor, awards will be presented in a number of age divisions for the 5K and 10K. There will also be trophies for all children under 12 in the Fun Run.
