The Rockville Centre Little League concluded its 64th season in grand fashion on Nov. 5 with its annual awards dinner at the Coral House. Featured speakers were Manager Terry Collins of the New York Mets and Brianne Catalano of the Molloy College softball team.

The League honored its season champions, post-season Williamsport all stars and individual MVP and sportsmanship award winners in both baseball and softball. Special recognition was given to the Section 5 championship 11U baseball team.

“Tonight we celebrate the accomplishments of the players of Rockville Centre Little League but also say thanks to the people that make what we do possible — coaches, managers, commissioners and the board,” said league president Tom Bucaria.

In addition to player recognition, the league honored two longtime Board Members: Peter Garrity and Bill Cameron, who are retiring from Little League service. Both were presented with the Mort Gellar Award (the league’s highest individual honor) for their service over the years.
