Raising money ahead of the Pluck

The Rockville Centre Lions Club will once again be selling ducks to raise money for diabetes and sight-related charities.

By sponsoring a duck, you become eligible to win dozens of prizes, including electronics, games, toys and gift certificates at the Duck Pluck at Kids Fest at the RVC Recreation Center on Saturday, Sept. 19, where the Ducks will be plucked from the special Duck Pond at the Rec Center event.

The Lions Club will also be hosting a series of Guest Bartender nights, and all are welcome to join to help support the cause. The first is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20 at Stinger’s on Sunrise Highway, at 6 p.m. The guest bartenders that night will be Rockville Centre residents Greg Schaefer and Danny Navarino. Please come and enjoy a glass for a good cause.
